The Opportunity
Your Impact
As R&D Measurement Sciences Sr. Analyst your responsibilities would consist of supporting the PepsiCo Foods team to ensure required Approved Analytical methods and labs are used in support of R&D specification updates. This role will apply technical expertise and coordinate with cross-functional discipline approvers and ingredient suppliers as required, to develop fit-for-purpose ingredient specifications, maintain existing specifications and supplier relationships, and manage tracking and uploading into relevant systems.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support as Measurement Sciences to North America and Latam markets in compliance with their process, particular requirements and systems PV, FSS & SAP.
- Review and approve supplier questionnaire with Supplier Analytical methods, test results, collect Analytical method validation data specific documentation, and communicate with supplier to address any outstanding questions
- Review ingredient specifications to ensure they comply with requirements in SAP
- Serve as point of contact with Specification Management team on measurement science discussions during supplier alignment process
- Maintain and foster relationships with in-market R&D spec teams, other teams, and external suppliers. Deliver technical insights to relevant partners on a case-by-case basis analysis
- Maintain and support legacy spec update process to ensure compliance with Measurement Science Standards and Food Safety or Regulatory Affairs special analysis where required
- Support as data stewardship with global Measurement Sciences team for data governance
- Ensure all requests are processed, documented, and delivered within defined project timeline and SLAs stablished
- Identify potential areas for process opportunities and challenges to make recommendations to R&D Leadership for continuous improvement
- Provide technical support to the workflow in supplier's test method validation and ensure that the key deliverables are met with the relevant teams
- Maintain and update Measurement Sciences desktop procedures, process maps, and other knowledge in Knowledge Management system
Qualifications:
Who Are We Looking For?
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Chemistry, Chemistry, or related field.
- Advanced understanding of Quality Assurance/ Measurement Science concepts and good working knowledge of analytical methods and parameters.
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Desirable: Hands-on experience in laboratory-based physical and chemical analyses
- Collaborative skills and strong interest in working with others across time zones; Ability to build relationships and work closely with both internal and external partners
- Good communication skills – oral and written (e.g. communication on telephone, external and internal to PepsiCo, managing with other support group functions, etc.)
- Ability to manage time effectively across multiple priorities and projects requiring a high degree of organizational and communication skills to ensure requests are delivered in a timely manner
- Exceptional data organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-motivated & demonstrated ability to take initiative on projects
