**Medical Billing Coding Specialist**

Remote Position - Tijuana

Optumus, is a Healthcare Technology Company that offers a variety of services to medical practices and hospitals. We have an immediate opening for a Full-time Medical Billing Specialist. Our Team members perform various day-to-day patient account functions for our Medical, Behavioral Health, and Specialty programs. Duties include patient and third-party billing, problem resolution, review of patients records to determine proper CPT/ICD-10 coding, interacting with physicians to ensure coding accuracy, and account inquiries. Familiarity with Managed Care, Medicare, and commercial insurance programs is essential. Experience in the use and review of electronic health records is a requirement. Strong computer, organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally, by phone and in written formats are necessary. Skills and Qualifications:
**Requirements**:

- 2+ years of ICD-10-CM and/or CPT coding experience is a must.
- 2+ years experience working on USA based healthcare billing or medical office
- Medical terminology, anatomy and physiology knowledge required.
- Must be detail-oriented and organized, have excellent time-management skills, and have good analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Multiple EMR system knowledge
- Notable client service, communication, presentation and relationship building skills required.
- Ability to function independently and as a team player in a fast-paced, demanding work environment required.
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficient in MS Office

**Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Licensed billing coder

**Compensation**:

- $25,000-$35,000 pesos per month

**Job Type**:

- **Full-time, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Mexico City, No Weekends**
