Responsible for the development of quotations for new market business in support of Quoting and New Product Introduction (NPI).

**Responsibilities**:

- Solicit Quotations (Pricing and Commercial Terms) for new business opportunities in support of Quoting Organization ensuring speed and accuracy.
- Effectively purchase, and expedite delivery of required supplies, raw materials, components, fabricated parts, tooling and fixtures, and applied services for all NPI projects.
- Support development of cost knowledge and preparation of cost models for new products.
- Develop, in collaboration with the Commodity Directors and NPI, supply sources where existing suppliers are inadequate.
- Ensuring adherence, by supplier to established Supply Agreements.
- Maintain the purchasing component and raw material pricing to support accurate Bill of Material (BOM) costing.
- Identify and document all new items and ensure that all pre-production prices being used on BOM’s are captured in the MRP system.
- Collaborate with the NPI team to provide management with updates of costs related to local Engineering Proto Builds, Design Verification Builds (DVT) and Production Verification Builds (PVT).
- Completion of assigned tasks to support launch to production.

**Skills Required**:

- Minimum of 5 years of Purchasing experience with a heavy project management focus
- Good negotiations skills and ability to influence without power.
- Good technical skills in reading blue prints and understanding technical specifications.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong Analytical and Problem Technical Skills.
- Experience working with Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales and Operations.
- Strong Multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to work effectively from the shop floor to executive staff level.
- Professional oral & written communication and presentation skills.
- Good proficiency in English, written and oral.

**Education**:

- Bachelors Degree, Business, Operations or Engineering (desired)
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing training and certification (desired
