Job Title**:Accounts Payable Specialist**

**Skills**:

- Preferred Bachelor’s degree or higher in the fields of accounting, business administration of finance.
- Minimum 2 year’s recent hands-on accounts payable experience required.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Exposure to a high transaction volume and multi-task work environment required.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills required.
- Detail-oriented.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to detect inconsistencies in data.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Experience with audit procedures, tax, and accounting practices is preferred.
- Understand how to interpret company policies and procedures.
- Desirable knowledge of the functions of a multi-country payroll environment.
- Communicate with correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Maintain confidential information when required by legal and ethical standards of professionalism to ensure privacy of employee records.
- Adaptable to rapidly changing systems and environment.
- **Excellent English & Spanish verbal and written communication skills. Portuguese is desirable.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Process weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly international payrolls for salaried and hourly employees and ensure the overall accuracy of employee data.
- Schedule, prepare, open, balance, close, and finalize all payroll cycles in a team environment.
- Properly record accounting entries for each payroll cycle.
- Perform wire transfers including verification/approval of wires and maintaining wire transfer documentation and procedures for independent consultants.
- Ensure proper security controls are adhered to in processing of domestic and international wires.
- Calculate and process corrections.
- System record maintenance including new hire setup, tax form processing, timekeeping input, benefits setup, terminations and other functions.
- Administration functions include record keeping, and communication.
- Establish and maintain close relationships with other areas assisting them with payroll and wire transfers inquiries.
