Overall purpose of role
Ensure the correct flow of the daily transactional activity executed by all the different business areas of Barclays in Mexico that flow to the Operations Core area and ensure the correct confirmation and affirmation of all trades processed.
Key Accountabilities
- Confirmations, confirm all daily trades
- Affirmations, affirm all daily trades
- Reconciliations, ensure all daily trades have been reconciled within internal systems (FOBO) and external (Brokers)
- Escalate to corresponding teams and business areas in time any trade discrepancy.
- Reporting, generate activity reports and inform corresponding teams and business areas.
Stakeholder Management and Leadership
The person should be proactive to act on potential issues and escalate when need.
Decision-making and Problem Solving
The person should have the knowledge to identify any discrepancies on the confirmation/affirmation process and escalate it in time to the corresponding business area to solve the discrepancy before settlement.
Risk and Control Objective
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards
Person Specification
- Experience in Financial Institutions
- Knowledge of Fixed Income and Derivatives Products
- Fluent English
- Knowledge of trade processing, confirmations and affirmation
- Degree (or equivalent)
