Job Summary
- To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Strategic Supply Chain Manager.
- The Strategic Supply Chain Manager will be based in Guadalajara South site and will be reporting to the Senior Director Supply Chain Management. Will be In charge of directing the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of processes and procedures within the organization related to supply chain management. In charge of managing and overseeing the methods and processes in hold up of both new and existing products. Customer face and strategic.
- What a typical day looks like:

- Develop and implement global supply chain strategies based on customer requirements to establish flexible, robust, competitive and resilient supply chains that meet our expectations related to inventory management, annual productivity and margin.
- Drive strategic procurement initiatives to optimize cost and generate further benefits. Lead the sourcing process for key components that increase our product’s performance and market competitiveness.
- Consolidate input from commodity managers, site materials management, and personal efforts for consolidated program sourcing documents that maximize flexibility and maintain cost to performance targets both internally and externally.
- Be the first contact point for our customers related to all material topics: demand planning, MRP load, inventory turnover, material pricing, VA/VE, multi sourcing and risk mitigation as well as liability coverage and other contractual topics.
- Direct customer quotation requirements. Interface with Flex Quotation Group during the quotation process to ensure all costed Bills of Material are competitive, support the defined supply chain strategy, and minimize Flex exposure to inventory impacted by quoted pricing.
- Support New Product Introduction and New Product Launches and participate in customer meetings together with Support Business Development and Account Management.
- Interface with Flex internal organization: business development, manufacturing site, program management, commodity management and supplier quality to support and win new business opportunities (quotes) and to offer best-in-class supply chain solutions to our customers.
- Lead purchasing activities associated with New Product Introduction efforts. Complete line item source awards, new supplier development, and MRP set-up at the manufacturing site.
- Frequent national and international travel up to ~ 25%.
- Experience we are looking to add to our team:

- Completed education in Industrial Engineering, Business, Electronics or in a related field.
- Technical knowledge is an advantage.
- Extensive experience in Supply Chain Management or Materials Management.
- Knowledge in demand planning, inventory management, logistics and P&L knowledge.
- Enthusiasm to work & communicate with customers, suppliers, designers as well as with the internal teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in working with high priority, high visibility accounts & with the Automotive industry would be an advantage.
- Excellent English language skills both in written and spoken form.
- Local language skills would be a plus.
