Accounting Controller

An innovative, expanding, international company located at metropolitan area of Monterrey City is looking for a talented and experienced, accounting professional for the position of Financial Controller. This key position will be responsible for overseeing financial statements, invoices, accounts payable and accounts receivable. Their duties include directing Accounting, compiling financial reports based on financial statements and implementing policies and procedures for financial reporting. This position will report directly to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in USA and the General Manager in Mexico.

**Responsibilities**
- Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions
- Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of business results
- Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
- Coordinating activities of external auditors
- Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
- Managing the budget process
- Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
- Evaluating accounting and internal control systems
- Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed
- Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
- Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
- Assist management with important financial decisions
- Prepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts and statements to understand the financial state of business
- Supervise employees and external staff who work under the controller in preparing financial reports and budgets
- Monitor a company’s financial reports and determine ways to reduce costs
- Keep up-to-date on the financial markets to understand how to maximize profits and find new expansion areas
- Understand the financials of the company in order to meet legal requirements and keep the financial state in good standing
- Completes reports and documents timely, accurately and efficiently.
- May be asked on occasion to perform other duties not related to this job description.

**Required Skills/Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration, accounting, finance or commensurate experience in similar position is needed as an education requirement for this position
- At least three years of experience at similar position
- The ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management about the finances of the business and justify certain financial recommendations
- Attention to detail
- Basic math skills to make accurate calculations and estimates
- Good understanding of international finance
- Organization and project management
- Proficient computer skills, especially in the use of Microsoft products, Salesforce and software according to this position.
- Able to work independently, make good decisions, and work as part of a team.
- Proactive: able to anticipate issues and provide solutions.
- Maintains a high level of responsibility and accountability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish & English.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
- Adaptable to multicultural and multinational integration.
- Valid passport and US Visa.
