**Why this role matters**:
The Global Messaging Team is responsible for our global SMS business. Managing our aggregator and partner relationships, the team supports one of the fastest-growing CPaaS companies in the market through procurement and driving volume and revenue growth in key markets. The team works closely with our regional Carrier, Operations and Enterprise sales teams to develop and implement regional strategic plans.

As a high-growth team, expansion is needed to ensure continued success. We seek to recruit an experienced industry leader to manage our business development activities in LATAM market. This is critical in supporting Vonage's SMS growth taking ownership of the development and strategy of our wholesale and Carrier business. This role will align with our Carrier, Sales, and Operations teams, coordinating market intelligence and developing regional procurement strategy to ensure we have a market-leading cost base and quality of service.

**What you'll do**:

- **Own our business development strategy in the region - **responsible for the management, revenue growth and strategic direction of our A2P SMS business.
- **New Business and partnerships**:

- hunting and onboarding of new suppliers. Nurturing and developing partnerships with key regional players and Mobile Operators, and identifying exclusive opportunities in the SMS space. Positioning Vonage as a preferred partner with Mobile Network Operators
- **Regional strategy** - collaborate with the Enterprise sales and Carrier teams to coordinate strategy, supporting the delivery of regional financial goals and new market development.
- **Supporting bids & RFPs - **providing** **market knowledge, data analysis and commercial projections for A2P monetisation deals

- Leadership, ability to develop and grow the Team KPIs.
- Extensive knowledge of CpaaS market and SMS wholesale business.

- Experience in the SMS A2P market: trading, carrier relations or business development.
- Expert knowledge of the messaging ecosystem, key players and market dynamics.
- A network of contacts in the relevant A2P messaging market.
- Experience working on international projects and initiatives.
- Proven track record of SMS business development.
- Hands-on proactive attitude, with a desire to make a difference.
