- Position Summary: We seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team. The Trade Compliance Specialist will execute policies and procedures to support F5’s compliance with applicable import/export laws and regulations where the company conducts business. The Specialist will also collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely deliveries of global network infrastructure and pre-production hardware shipments, particularly emphasizing the Latin America (LATAM) region.
- Primary Responsibilities:

- Communicate customs clearance instructions to customs brokers
- Audit customs entries and manage 3rd-party compliance logistics providers (e.g., Brokers, Agents)
- Assist in performing product classifications (Harmonized Schedule, ECCN), valuations, and country of origin determinations
- Screen orders/deliveries and transaction parties for economic sanctions and export compliance requirements
- Support execution of other Trade Compliance program tasks
- Other Responsibilities:

- Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Applied experience with importing/exporting information technology goods across the LATAM region
- Working knowledge of, and ability to apply, regional import/export laws and regulations
- Knowledge of U.S. encryption export control regulations is a plus
- Strong analytical skills
- Clear written and verbal communicator
- Commitment to driving cross-functional communication and collaboration
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Qualifications:

- 2+ years of experience in import/export compliance, global logistics, or other related professional experience
- Demonstrated experience with importing/exporting information technology goods across LATAM
- B.A. in International Relations, Political Science, Business, or related field
- Customs-related accreditations (i.e., customs broker license) are a plus
- Physical Demands and Work Environment:

- Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table
- Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material
- Ability to be flexible with extra hours and/or working outside normal working hours (evenings and some weekends), as may be required for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end, or as required for special projects
