**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Employee Relations Legal Advisory**: Provide legal counsel on employee relations matters, workplace conduct issues, internal disputes, and conflict resolution.
- **Termination & Severance Management**: Lead and support termination processes, including negotiation and drafting of severance agreements, ensuring alignment with labor laws and company policies.
- **Labor Law Compliance**: Ensure full compliance with the **Ley Federal del Trabajo (LFT)** and all applicable local labor regulations.
- **Internal Investigations**: Conduct or support investigations related to grievances, misconduct, discrimination, harassment, or ethics violations, in coordination with HR and compliance teams.
- **Policy Development & Review**: Draft, review, and update employee-related policies, codes of conduct, and procedures to reflect changes in legislation and internal standards.
- **Training & Education**: Train HR staff, managers, and leaders on labor law obligations, proper handling of employee relations matters, and legal risks.
- **Regulatory Audits & Inspections**: Support responses to labor authority audits, site inspections, or litigation threats related to employment issues.
- **Documentation & Recordkeeping**: Ensure accurate documentation of disciplinary processes, terminations, agreements, and internal case handling.
- **Cross-functional Support**: Collaborate with Legal, HR, Ethics & Compliance, and Operations on projects impacting employment practices and legal risks.
**Qualifications**:
- **Law degree (Licenciatura en Derecho)** from an accredited institution in Mexico.
- Active **Mexican Bar (Cédula Profesional)**.
- Minimum **5 years** of experience practicing labor law, preferably in-house or in a multinational context.
Deep knowledge of Mexican labor law and experience managing employment litigation or labor authority processes.Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, particularly in managing severance and terminations.Experience conducting internal investigations and drafting legal documents.Ability to work independently, handle confidential information with discretion, and build trusted relationships with stakeholders.
- Fluent in **Spanish** and proficient in **English** (written and verbal).
**Preferred Skills**: Experience supporting HR departments or working in a cross-functional legal/HR environment.
Familiarity with whistleblower policies, ethics reporting, and compliance frameworks.
- Knowledge of USA employment laws (desirable but not required).
