**Job Title**: Network Security Engineer

**Role Description**:
This person will be implementing hardening guides within virtual and physical network IT infrastructures in addition to installing, configuring and maintaining firewalls, proxies, IPS, network access controls, and security infrastructure. Document vulnerabilities detected within areas such as third party connections while collaborating with technical teams to resolve any vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The ideal person can prepare technical procedures, standards & network schematics interfacing with stakeholders and technical audiences in an international environment.

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Plan and implement enterprise networks and related hardware and software in addition to establishing security (firewalls, intrusion detection), connectivity and access parameters.
- Prepare technical procedures, standards & network schematics for firewall infrastructure (CheckPoint & Cisco), proxy technologies (Blue Coat, Cisco IronPort/Umbrella, Zscaler), IPS (CheckPoint), and Network Access Control (Cisco ISE).
- Offer tier-2 troubleshooting and support engineering in addition to supporting the evaluation of technical requirements for projects to determine the impact to the infrastructure including equipment redundancy and capacity requirements.
- Configure and maintain virtual network (Cisco + CheckPoint Client & Site to Site) and update in CMDB, diagrams, and network security devices information about third party connections while collaborating with technical teams to take corrective action when necessary.
- Install, configure and upgrade CheckPoint Provider-1, CheckPoint Multi Domain and CheckPoint VSX technologies while interacting and escalating incidents within company and/or with external technical resources when necessary.
- Prepare coverage reports for management review and recognize threats and intrusions by identifying abnormalities and reporting violations.
- Determine security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits.

**Education & Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or experience in relevant field/equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of relevant IT work experience within Security Engineering
- Excellent written and verbal communication (both English/Spanish) is required
- Previous experience configuring Proxy (Blue Coat, Cisco IronPort/Umbrella, and/or Zscaler)
- Must have experience installing, configuring and upgrading CheckPoint Provider-1, CheckPoint Multi Domain and CheckPoint VSX technologies
- Previous experience configuring and managing CheckPoint or Cisco firewalls, security devices, firewalls, network proxies, IPS/IDS
- Knowledge and previous experience with vulnerability and hardening guide compliance

**Desire Requirements (Not Mandatory)**:

- Highly preferable experience with hardening of network and security devices
- CheckPoint Certified System Engineer (CCSE) or ITIL Foundations is a plus
- Proven experience within technology consultancy services is highly preferred
