In this role, you will oversee Western Union’s Financial Entity in Mexico, coordinate regulatory activities, manage audits, and handle daily operations.
**Role Responsibilities**
- Support day-to-day operations and set up strong foundations to make sure the entity is ready for launch.
- Create and roll out plans that reduce manual work and encourage teamwork across all stakeholders.
- Coordinate with both internal and external partners to keep regulatory tasks on track and manage any ad-hoc requests from authorities such as Banxico, Condusef, and CNBV.
- Manage regular audits and visits from different regulatory agencies.
- Work on integrating payment systems like SPEI, card processors, and banking partners.
- Team up with suppliers and internal teams to build smooth operational processes, including reconciliation, clear workflows, and SLAs that meet regulatory standards for these integrations.
- Collaborate with Customer Care to put together live support systems for our customers.
- Develop and maintain a Business Continuity Plan, following regulations for contingencies.
- Oversee payments, claims, fraud cases, and chargebacks to keep things running efficiently.
- Continuously look for ways to improve how transactions are processed and connect with new networks as needed.
**Role Requirements**
- To be successful in this role you will have 9-12 years of relevant operational excellence, preferably in Retail Banking, IFPE, SOFIPOS, Remittance, Digital Payments, Mobile Money and other financial services.
- You have a good understanding of the financial services markets or retail and digital operations and an understanding of today’s technological standards
- Previous experience of lean and agile working methodologies is also desirable.
- Business development and operations to build products that delight our customers in Mexico.
- Background in managing direct and cross-functional teams.
- English proficiency is a must.
