Position Summary: *The Purchasing/Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for approve orders on a daily basis in the Viamericas’ online ordering website, manage and control Marketing inventory, and maintain an excellent relationship with vendors. The position will negotiate pricing, request new quotes, identify new business opportunities, and coordinate payment to vendors with the AP department. Manage on-going day-to-day operations including tracking and reporting, are also priorities for the position.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Approve orders on a daily basis on the Viamericas’ website ViaMall
- Request quotes from vendors, compare pricing, submit PO’s to the AP system, and give due follow up to the payments.
- Track shipments from all orders previously approved on ViaMall.
- Make sure the items are being displayed correctly by updating SKUs, Product image, correct price and by assigning them to the corresponding category.
- Create and modify special kits for the Sales team to order items in more efficient ways.
- Oversee the proper functioning of our ViaMall website, registering new users, making changes and updates at all times, for the Sales team to have the best experience when visiting the site.
**Qualifications**
- Bi-Lingual English/Spanish
- BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, Business preferred.
- Minimum 3 years working experience in inventory management / POSM management.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
- Experience with inventory control software and Online shopping websites expected.
- Strong writing and proofreading skills is a must; impeccable spelling, grammar, punctuation.
- Creative critical thinker with excellent presentation skills, verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated team player with a strong desire for success
