**Customer Surveillance Implementation Manager**

**Job Objective**:
The Wholesale Business Financial Crime Risk team enables CMB & GB to safely growth by adopting and enforcing the highest Financial Crime and Sanctions compliance standards across all entities within the HSBC Group.

This role is a combined operational and analytics role, embedded within the Regional Wholesale COO office. Dependent upon scale, in country and regional offices, the role will report to the Senior Risk Quality Assurance Manager, as part of the Wholesale Business Financial Crime Risk team.

As a GCB 5, the role holder will be responsible for assessing, extracting, summarizing and presenting information/data associated to financial crime processes or controls held within the Wholesale BFCR & RR team that ultimately help identify, mitigate and manage financial crime risks across CMB & GB customer’s portfolio. The role-holder will provide leadership and manage tools for risk management such as Actionable Intelligence
- Surveillance, and the surveillance triggers applicable to CMB & GB frontline teams, and will provide coaching / training to staff on the use of this tool in Mexico and when required in LAM.

This role will make recommendations to senior management on the findings identified in the data analyzed to improve the financial crime risk assessment & mitigation. In addition to training this may include making recommendations to enhance controls, processes and systems.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for driving improvements in FLoD ability to recognize financial crime risks and take appropriate action
- Support in extracting MI for country and regional KPIs that demonstrate improvements in financial crime comprehension and controls
- Support the delivery of Global Wholesale management programmes and initiatives required to deliver the strategy.
- Provide guidance to 1LOD and manage and support to CMB & GB sites on risk management tool, Actionable Intelligence
- Engage effectively with the business and FCC counterparties in country, regional and Global to achieve objectives on regional level
- Foster strong compliance and FCR culture across CMB & GB
- Work with BFCR colleagues guided by a collaborative spirit
- Business and customer consideration for compliance assessment and operational risk measures and controls

**Requirements**:
**Experience**:

- Solid knowledge and experience in data analysis and bank systems
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Proactive and logical thinker
- Basic knowledge of financial crime risks.
- Strong written and verbal communication, as well as strong presentation skills
- Proficient in English
- Advanced use of excel and design and execution of macros
- Knowledge in SAS/ Python (programación básica)
- Knowledge of FCR
- Business knowledge (CMB and GB)
