**About the role**:
**What you'll do as a **Billing Specialist**:

- Manage customer accounts, send invoices, collect payments, and update accounts to reflect changes
- Cross departmental collaboration to determine customer software usage and billing amounts
- Work with customers to set up payment plans and ensure bills are paid in a timely manner
- Handle Account Receivables management and the process of reaching out to customers for collections
- Answer customer inquiries about billings and resolve any errors
- Handle billing complaints and discrepancies, issue credit memos when necessary
- Maintain new and existing customer contracts and record keeping
- Escalate customer issues to the Sr. Director of Finance

**What we're looking for**:

- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2-4 years of experience in billing is required
- Knowledge of billing specialist responsibilities, billing systems and procedures
- Expert level in Excel
- Experience with SaaS or other subscription-based billing preferred
- Ability to deal with customers directly
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

**Nice to haves**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work hard, take direction, and anticipate problems and their solutions without explicit guidance
- A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
- NetSuite experience is preferred (accounting software systems is a Plus)
- Experience working with a distributed/remote team
- Previous experience working for a US company is a Plus
