Your Team

Quality Control Engineer, QA Technicians, Documentation Coordinator and Quality System Coordinator.

What You Will DoFormulates and manages the Department’s objectives and budget, as well as the strategies and action plans to achieve those objectives.-
- Establishes and maintains a Quality System always in search of continuous improvement.-
- Reviews the Quality metrics and assign resources according to its needs.-
- Maintains communication with all the areas with the purpose to keep everyone focus on the same objectives.-
- Verifies through the Quality Engineers the correct implementation of Quality inspections and Audits.-
- Establishes approval requirements for materials and finish goods, determines the essential tests to consider conforming products.-
- Reviews Metrics with Engineers discussing various possible alternatives, providing resources and a suitable environment,-
- Supervises and coordinates the activities of subordinates to facilitate the implementation and operation of the Company. Responsible for Selecting, Training, Motivating Developing and acting as a facilitator to Q.A. Staff.-
- Maintains trough Quality Engineering the inventory of rejected products within the previously established standards, in search of action plans to avoid its recurrence.-
- Verifies and maintains Quality records up to date.-
- Maintains Quality equipment in suitable conditions and up to date.-
- Maintains trough Engineering work instructions and methods for Production.-
- Participates in the developing and implementation of new products and responsible for the introduction process of such products. Interacts with Engineering of other Harman’s facilities regarding modifications in the Engineering process or product as required and the implementation of the Safe Launch Plan-
- Elaborates monthly Quality reports.-
- Responsible for selecting and maintaining relationship outside the immediate business unit including (but not limited to) Certifying Bodies (ex. CSA, UL, CQC, CCC, KIWA-EN54, TUV) and testing laboratories. Directly supports distributors and sales offices with documentation related to international certifications and importation regulations.-
- Responsible for implantation and maintaining the CCC product certification-
- Responsible for the implementation and maintaining of the Quality System-
- Responsible for the Calibration and LPA program-
- Responsible of the coordination of first article approvals for raw materialWhat You NeedFormal Lean training in VSM Tools. Kaizen, and other key Lean tools and methodologies.-
- Knowledge of Quality Systems (ISO 9001).-
- Knowledge of Six Sigma-
- Computer knowledge (Auto cad, Office: Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)-
- Advance English level (reading and writing that allow fluid presentations)-
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Systems, GMP’s and Project Management.-
- BS Technical Engineering Degree.-
- Lean Manufacturing.-
- Six Sigma Black Belt.-
- 5 years of prior experience in industrial product manufacturing environment.-
- 5 years of prior experience as Q.A. or Engineering Manager.-
- 3 years of prior experience in budget management.-
- 3 years of prior experience in new product introduction process.-
- 3 years of prior experience implementing Continuous Improvement and excellence Methods.-
- 3 years of prior experience in Project Management.-
- Works standing 40 % of the time.-
- Must be focus on continuous improvement methods.-
