The AMAS Project Manager responsible to foster Supplier Integration is responsible to define, improve and streamline the supply strategy in place for components sourced to external vendors.
The scope of responsibility goes from developing long-term relationships with existing external vendors, implementing stocking strategy, managing vendor bottlenecks by implementing SOP, identifying risks, proposing 2nd sources when appropriate, short-term problem solving.
**What your background should look like**:
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Work with key external vendors to increase on time supplier delivery
- Map manufacturing processes of key external vendor to identify and manage bottlenecks
- Support and coordinate daily escalation
- Develop long term strategy with external vendors (implement best practices such like forecast sharing, open backlog review, SOP)
- Audit, standardize and optimize the work of the vendor planners across the region
- Propose and implement improvement actions to streamline key vendor planning processes
- Identify and implement saving projects to reduce freights and inventory
- Reduce and optimize the safety stocks and Lead times based on market expectation and defined actions to be performed at the suppliers
- Contribute to the transformation of the AMAS Supply Chain by optimizing and redesigning the material flow of our key strategic product lines
- Actively work with the Global SOP project manager to make sure that External vendor capacity is adjusted to allow future growth of ENG BU
**KEY EXPERIENCE/SKILLS**:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Supply Chain
- 8+ years’ experience in manufacturing / Supply Chain with proven track record of success in external vendor management, SOP, continuous improvement, Supply Chain transformation
- Strong Project Manager experience in matrix organisation
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytic capability and hands-on experience in leading lean manufacturing initiatives will be preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and people management skills; the ability to hire, develop, support and motivate teams
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, SAP or other MRP system)
- Lean Manufacturing principles
- Fluent in English, Spanish is a plus
- Open to travel
