A senior generalist lawyer with a privacy focus for a company entering Mexico provides comprehensive legal advice and support to facilitate the company's entry and operations in the Mexican market, with a particular emphasis on privacy compliance.

**Responsibilities**:

- Market Entry Strategy: Assisting in developing the company's legal strategy for entering the Mexican market, including legal structuring, regulatory compliance, and privacy considerations;
- Legal Due Diligence: Conducting legal due diligence reviews to identify and assess legal risks associated with the company's entry into Mexico, including compliance with privacy laws and regulations;
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including privacy laws, during the company's establishment and ongoing operations in Mexico;
- Privacy Compliance: Advising on privacy laws and regulations in Mexico, such as the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, and guiding the company in developing and implementing privacy policies and procedures to protect personal data and ensure compliance;
- Contract Drafting and Review: Preparing, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and legal documents necessary for the company's operations in Mexico, with a focus on privacy-related provisions;
- Vendor and Third-Party Management: Reviewing and negotiating contracts with vendors and third-party service providers to ensure compliance with privacy requirements and protect the company's interests;
- Employment Law Compliance: Providing guidance on labor and employment law compliance, including privacy-related aspects, for hiring and managing employees in Mexico;
- Relationship Management: Building relationships with local legal counsel, regulatory authorities, and relevant stakeholders to navigate the Mexican legal landscape and address any legal challenges;
- Legal Research and Analysis: Conducting research and analysis on Mexican laws, regulations, and case law to provide accurate and up-to-date legal advice on various matters, including privacy compliance;
- Cross-Cultural Communication: Effectively communicating legal advice and recommendations to the company's management and stakeholders, considering cross-cultural differences and language barriers, to ensure clear understanding and compliance.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree in Law;
- Proven track record of 7 years in a generalist Lawyer role, preferably with experience in Mexico and the Latin American market;
- In-depth knowledge of Mexican labor laws, regulations, and best practices;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization;
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to provide practical solutions to complex issues;
- Fluency in both English and Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
