Position
We are currently looking for a Contract Manager (onsite) for our Projects in Mexico.
He/She will be responsible for engaging in thorough commercial negotiations during the project’s contract execution while assigned overseas to a project site.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor the contractual requirements to be fulfilled during the contract’s execution, evaluating risks and proposing mitigations. Advise on compliance and proactively seek opportunities arising out from the provisions of the contract during project’s execution. Assist the Project Director and Managers during the negotiations of variations, changes and claims during the project’s execution. Define guidelines in performing the activities of Contract Management, with regard to the peculiarity of each Contract. Assist the Project Manager during the contract execution, including, but not limited to, management of the correspondence with the Clients, preparation and negotiation of Variation Orders, participation to the meeting with the Clients, assistance in negotiation of claims. Assist the Project Manager in managing subcontracts and purchase orders. Liaison with the partner of the JV. Assistance in any potential arbitration proceedings with clients and subcontractors/vendors when not amicably settled, in coordination with external lawyers and consultants.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Law. 5-6 year's relevant experience in similar role, with a deep knowledge of the energy/industrial construction sector. Excellent contract management skills coupled with a track record results in large, complex industrial construction projects. Strong research skills and an in-depth understanding of financial analytics and legal agreements. Exceptional negotiation, persuasion and judgment skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluent in English (written & spoken). Proficiency in Spanish is highly advantageous but not mandatory.
