About the Role
Analyzes and develops transportation plans to control the movement of commodities throughout a manufacturing or distribution network to ensure the smooth running of operations at optimal transportation cost levels.
What You Will Do
Analyzing transportation plans and identifying opportunities for improvements to meet client needs. Implementing and maintaining monitoring systems to provide information on shipment status, shipped date, in transit location, estimated arrival date, and actual delivery date. Generating and analyzing reports of transportation costs, carrier performance and lead times. Assisting in the development of process flows to track lead time by activity and providing solutions to reduce lead times. Maintain effective on-going relationships with external Customers such as Global Carriers, Freight Forwarders, Customs Brokerage and Air Freight ProvidersWhat You Have – Skills and Experiences

Process Management: Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment .
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Transportation - PHA: Knowledge of and experience with the means of transporting materials and goods to and from suppliers, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities and customers the manufacturing facility.
Logistics Management: Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials; ability to understand, predict and control the movement of goods, materials and supplies.
Supply Chain Management: Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and implement strategies, practices and tools for controlling the whole processes.
What is Required:
Bachelor's degree completed. Minimum of 5-7 years of Logistics and Transportation experience Bilingual English and Spanish (Fluent) Knowledge of Transportation Management SystemsDesirable requirements for candidates:
6 Sigma Training Strong analytical skills Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office tools and MRP Systems. Good human relations skills are required to develop a cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside the department.We offer:
