Embrace Excellence

The Market Lead – On Premise is responsible for cultivating, expanding and maintaining relationships with key Restaurants, Bars and Hotels driving the profitable development and market share growth of the Edrington portfolio across Mexico City. The Market Lead will also have to working closely with Edrington Trade Marketing, Marketing and Sales teams.

The Market Lead – On Premise is the commercial face of the brand in the field. A recognized leader in execution and interaction with wholesalers, customers, and consumers by embodying Edrington’s commercial excellence principles and luxury behaviors. The Market Lead should be the market reference of luxury in spirits

The Market Lead – On Premise is also a dedicated, passionate, brand champion, embodying the essence of the Edrington portfolio, with the goal to help make our brands the recognized global leader in their respective categories, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability for the Company

The Market Lead – On Premise will be spearheading building brand awareness and relevancy in the market through their trade and consumer engagement. Accountable for market execution of brand education platforms and brand sponsored events, building trade relationships, building a network of influencers, as well as partnership networks with Mexico City based lifestyle brands. This position is for a self-starter, someone who is highly driven to succeed, and enjoys going the extra mile to achieve results.

Make an Impact

The Market Lead will spend approximately 20% assisting in managing and working with our commercial partners (WHS), and 60% directly engaging with our targeted Key account customers and consumers, assuring a flawless execution of our portfolio plans and 20% educating and conducting staff trainings for On Premise Accounts The Market lead should spend most of their time in the field, managing the call cycle and maintaining an updated account visit calendar, with focus on key accounts in the Mexico City mapping, assuring we are listed in "The Best Premium and Prestige Accounts The Market Lead covers all target accounts within his/her market establishing rich commercial relationships and representing the brand The Market lead should be aligned with our Market(MX) strategy delivering performance as planned and activating brands as a luxury partner for each account Be the brand owner. Act as our in-market local face of the brand to the trade, key collector accounts, and local consumers Work with the local commercial Market Manager and Brand Marketing to implement a range of the On Trade and consumer marketing activities consistent with brand strategy within the local market Scout and develop target accounts based on HNWI neighborhood data, premium/luxury accounts Accelerate the growth of our portfolio through excellence in delivering exceptional visibility, distribution, and display where permitted and within brand guidelines Recruit new consumers to the brand: Seek opportunities to sample, educate, entertain, expose and partner with collector accounts and local influencers Maintain an updated and accurate Top Account distribution and KPI tracker that is referred to regularly and used as a planning tool Responsible for the management and best use of their annual personal travel and entertainment budget and effective use of A&P funds for activations Responsible for regular reporting – Event reports, program recaps, expense reports, consumer insights, competitor positioning, performance against targets, point of sale audits, etc

Develop and implement brand programs and events to accelerate brands positioning Collaborate with Brand teams to develop plans to expand portfolio and create programs that drive placements and velocity Bring brands to life in the On Premise through a flawless execution, to actively plan and execute strategic sales drivers and programs, aligned with On Premise segmentation and according to annual/quarterly plans Plan and implement creative and on-brand special events Work with Marketing, Off Premise teams to develop On Premise smart distribution, product allocation and track performance against objectives Build effective and productive working relationships with key customers (internal and external), distributors and agencies Monitor Account and Channel performance on a monthly basis against assigned growth objectives and KPI’s Manage, review and authorize invoices from vendors within budget guidelines Assure on premise plans execution on time and as planned Responsibly manage assigned T&E budget Use recognized validation tools, TBD, to deliver brand plans to achieve assigned target account results Maintain accurate records regarding distributor and account profiles Co-Develop Historic Account Performance Tracker. Deliver relevant information for decision makers Deliver and execute Education and advocacy programs according to Brand Plans and KPIs

Your Talent and Skills

College Degree in Business or Marketing 6+ years’ experience within Beverage Alcohol Industry with a minimum of 2 years selling On Premise Account Customers Excellent oral presentation skills Experience working with Luxury or Spirits Brands People and Teams management experience is a must Background in hospitality industry or distributor management is beneficial Thorough knowledge of sales, sales management and delivering quality standards Customer service skills Strong presentation skills with proven written and oral communication expertise Ability to consistently conduct oneself in an ethical and professional manner Strong interpersonal skills and skillful in working across teams internally and externally Computer proficiency required in MS Office products and internal data systems Understanding of digital marketing, social media platforms Positive attitude and out-going team player who also has an innovative and entrepreneurial approach Occasional International travel – valid Mexican Passport and US Visa required.
