General IT: End-user support and training for hardware and software

  • New user setup and orientation including installing and configuring workstations, software, telephone services, network printing, etc.
  • Providing end-user support for all PC based hardware, applications, and services
  • Providing end-user mobile devices support for applications an BIS services.
  • Maintain and provide support for all IT infrastructure.
  • Provide tier 1 and tier 2 support and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot OS (Mainly Windows Professional), network and storage related issues
  • Generate request on behalf users.
  • Help desk



Operational Security, Maintenance and Governance

  • Perform software upgrades and patches (bios, firmware upgrades, etc.)
  • Conduct routine monitoring and analysis to include Audit Log Reports evaluation, system and storage utilization reports, site and system usage, growth reports, and manage site collection quota settings.
  • Responsible ensure security protocols with users and facilities, following the BIS compliance rules.
  • Prevent cybersecurity breaches.

Infrastructure

  • Responsible of keeping track and updated the inventory of assets in the organization
  • Coordinate and monitoring of maintenance in Data Center.
  • Monitor Optima's Servers and perform periodic backups and maintenance (CCTV).
  • Administer Optima's intranet system based.
  • Assistance and support in Emergencies 24/7.
  • Monitor environmental alarms in Data center.
  • Monitor UPS alarms in Data center.
  • Monitor and update local CCTV.
  • Assist with local installations (New equipment in Data cener, structured cabling, telephony, VC's , CISCO WebEx , etc..).
  • Be the first contact for Telecom providers for support, maintenances and emergencies. (TELMEX, Transtelco, IPC, Refinitiv, izzi, etc.. )
  • Ensure telecommunications and multimedia systems works correctly.
  • Manage the Alarm system monitoring and report any major problem to Basel.
  • Assistance with upgrades related with the Data center assets like Firewall, IPC, switches, etc... Generally, this request comes from the Network team.
  • Update Data center assets in inventory, and rack layout.
  • Generate RFQ and evaluate the technical specifications of the requirement.
  • Manage the access control system.
  • Coordinate CANON Maintenances.
  • Coordinate with HP provider to repair any hardware malfunction.
  • Clean Data center.
  • Preppare hardware disposals and coordinate it with provider.

Security

  • Responsible ensure security protocols with users and facilities, following the BIS compliance rules.
  • Prevent cybersecurity breaches.
  • On boarding and departure of staff members.
  • Prepare work place (IT).
  • Prepare equipment.
  • Update changes in inventor.
  • Provide a brief introduction the user on how to work with notebook, VPN, request access, request support, correct use of devices etc.
  • Coordinate maintenances schedule.
  • Coordinate with provider to resolve problems related with IT Infrastructure.
  • Support in local events, and coordinate with provider to mount the necessary infrastructure in the meeting rooms.
  • Help in VC / Webex Connections (IT matters).
