Today, we continue to lead because we have a world-class, diverse workforce that puts the customer at the center of everything we do.**About the role**The Materials Planner Buyer is responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient procurement of materials necessary for the smooth operation of production lines. This role involves creating purchase orders, managing supplier relationships, and implementing inventory reduction strategies.**Key Responsibilities**:As a Materials Planner Buyer, you’ll be responsible for:- Create purchase orders to meet the plant's raw material needs.- Reschedule purchase orders according to changes in the plant to ensure efficient inventory levels.- Ensure suppliers meet the delivery times established in purchase orders (OTD) and develop action plans for suppliers who do not meet the required metrics.- Analyze and implement inventory reduction strategies and optimization tools (E&O, material coverage).- Negotiate with suppliers regarding delivery times and quantities of raw materials.- Follow up on engineering projects to ensure successful implementation.- Ensure timely payment to suppliers by reviewing purchase orders and working with accounts payable.- Comply with corporate programs.- Supervise one unionized expeditor working across three shifts.- Manage part numbers and understand the flow of lines, times, and issues in engineering and manufacturing areas.**Requirements**:We are looking for people who are Materials Planner Buyer.
