Learning and Development Consultant

We are hiring a**Learning and Development Consultant** to lead our effort to cultivate and amplify our global capabilities. This person will consult with functional and thought leaders globally to identify critical learning needs to design, develop, and deploy inspiring and comprehensive ecosystems for learning. The Learning Consultant will ensure these initiatives are strategically aligned and rigorously measured to inform the continued improvement of our users’ experience. This person will leverage a global network of learning, communications, design, and innovation experts to expand the reach of their work.**What You Will Be Doing**- Identify capability gaps and learning needs throughout the different functional and regional pockets of the organization.- Collaborate closely with our global Learning + Development designers and media creators to conceptualize, design and deliver meaningful, user-centered experiences, products, and services (learning ecosystem) to sustainably cater to the identified organizational needs.- Collaborate with our analytics teams to design mechanisms intended to extract and leverage qualitative and quantitative data to measure the impact of learning experiences and inform the further improvement of our users’ experience.- Provide internal consulting services for strategic projects while furthering the adoption of behaviors, tools, and frameworks.- Build relationships with external consultants and vendors.- Manage curricula life cycles and assess the relevance of content by incorporating user and stakeholder feedback, as well as trends and insights from inside and outside of our own organization/industry.- Collaborate with other Steelcase Talent Health, Learning + Development, and Center of Expertise leaders and peers to ensure efficient use of resources and the alignment with our Global Talent strategic priorities and aspirations.**Who You Are**:**Required Skills and Competencies**- Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Learning, or any related field.- Minimal 3-5-year prior experience in learning design or design thinking in a consulting environment- Advanced English is a must.- Demonstrated experience in the conceptualization, design, development, and deployment of comprehensive learning programs on a global scale.- Virtual and face-to-face content facilitation experience.- Portfolio life-cycle management experience.- Proficient in instructional design for multiple modalities of learning- Proficient using in designing using various authoring tools and with attention to multi-media and emerging technologies.**Preferred Skills and Competencies**- Strong Design Thinking and Human-Centered Design skills.- Strong critical and systems thinking skills.- Ability to quickly comprehend complex concepts and synthesize them into inspiring, engaging, and effective vehicles for learner consumption.- Ability to teach/coach/present to others in an effective and engaging way.- Proficiency in both face-to-face and virtual facilitation.- Effective communication and storytelling skills.- Solid project management skills.- Planning and organization skills coupled with an ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to changing conditions.- Oriented towards delivering high-quality user/customer experiences.- Strong collaboration, active listening, and negotiation skills.- Curiosity and a strong affinity towards continuous learning.- Intrapreneurial work ethic coupled with creative problem-solving skills.- Affinity for graphic design and composition skills.**Why People Choose to Work With Us**:At Steelcase, we put people at the center of everything we do.
