  • Sermo is in search of a Manager of Email Marketing and Deployment with a strong digital and email marketing background to lead our nimble team focused on email creation and deployment. As the Manager, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing email marketing strategies for high-quality medical content while ensuring adherence to industry regulations and guidelines.

  • You will be responsible for ensuring that everything created and delivered as a part of the Email Marketing offering is of the highest quality. This includes ensuring that creative deliverables adhere to the Sermo Standard of Excellence. You will do this by creating emails within an email service provider, designing new email templates, and spearheading email personalization efforts.

  • Your role will involve leveraging data insights to optimize campaign performance, staying abreast of industry trends, and fostering strong relationships with cross-functional partners. Your expertise will be pivotal in driving client engagement and enhancing our email marketing strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Coordination: Collaborate with internal and external teams to conceptualize, build, and deploy email campaigns using Sermo’s Email Service Provider (ESP).

  • Performance Analysis: Proactively monitor and analyze email campaign results, database health, and industry trends. Provide regular reports and insights to stakeholders.

  • Data-Driven Optimization: Utilize data insights to develop and implement recommendations for enhancing all aspects of email campaigns, including creative assets, internal templates, and testing strategies (e.g., A/B testing, subject line testing).

  • Client Engagement Strategy: Partner with leadership to establish and optimize a best-in-class client engagement strategy. Tailor strategies to support Sermo’s diverse product offerings and solutions.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships with cross-functional partners to address internal and external challenges. Provide support in problem-solving and workflow improvement initiatives.

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert on promotional email initiatives. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Exceptional communication and relationship management skills built on a customer-centric philosophy
  • Knowledge of email best practices including subject lines, messaging, segmentation, list management, and deliverability
  • Advanced degrees a plus
  • 3-8 years experience working with customer relationship management tools or email service provider software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment where tight deadlines are common
  • General understanding of privacy laws including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, TCPA and other email/SMS compliance regulations
  • Intermediate HTML/CSS knowledge and thoughtful QA process
  • Proven experience in email marketing, preferably in a managerial or leadership role
  • Proficiency in using Email Service Providers (ESPs) and email marketing platforms
