GoalThe New businesses initiatives Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organizations assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities for new initiatives for the company in Sigma US.RoleAccounting responsibilities for existing and upcoming new business projects cost centers by preparing and maintaining financial records to track assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.Oversee day to day general ledger activities, general ledger maintenance, and review the work of the Corporate Staff Accountant.Ensure accurate reporting and forecasting of the departments on profit and loss statements.Manage all monthly standard/non-standard journal entries in collaboration with business area and reporting teams to ensure an accurate and timely month-end-closure.Prepare, analyze and conduct monthly results deliverable financial statements.Ensure the completion of balance sheet analysis ensuring reconciling items are clearing timely, recommending any account adjustments to Accounting Manager and presenting analysis to Finance Upper Management.Manage the weekly accounts payable batches for proper expenditure approval levels and ensuring proper general ledger account coding.Prepare quarterly accruals analysis for all cost centers and present analysis and recommendations to the upper Finance Manager i na quarterly basis.Manage and facilitate the quarterly and annual audit requests and schedules External and Internal audit.Responsible for the account mapping and general ledger set up needed for any future mergers and acquisitions.Prepare ad hoc analysis for management.Assists in the implementation, stabilization and ongoing maintenance of accounting responsibilities for new companies ERP implementation.Vendor Management for Sigma US.Minimum QualificationsHigh level of open mindset for new challenges as the business evolves.Proven analytical skills with attention to details.Demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, present complex ideas concisely and clearly articulate ideas verbally and in writing.Ability to work well under tight timelines and meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy.Ability to build professional relationships with cross functional teams while facilitating a collaborative environment Ability to meet tight and ever-changing deadlines.SAP FICOAbility to critically analyze data and understand relationships within the data.Adherence to policies, procedures, and instructions from Leader.Proficient speaking and writing English and Spanish.Preferred QualificationsCPA certification is preferred.Public Accounting experience.Engaged in Tax accounting.Participation in SAP FICO implementation.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesHigh level of open mindset for new challenges as the business evolves.Proven analytical skills with attention to details.Demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, present complex ideas concisely and clearly articulate ideas verbally and in writing.Ability to work well under tight timelines and meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy.Ability to build professional relationships with cross functional teams while facilitating a collaborative environment Ability to meet tight and ever-changing deadlines.SAP FICOAbility to critically analyze data and understand relationships within the data.Adherence to policies, procedures, and instructions from Leader.Proficient speaking and writing English and Spanish.
