-Job descriptionThe Lead of MSB, TPPP, Correspondent Banking & Affiliates for LAM is positioned as a key role in the FIG management team within the region, responsible for supporting the Regional Head in end to end risk management and governance of the Correspondent Banking portfolio (including Banks, Money Service Businesses (MSB) and Third Party Payment Processors(TPPP)) in Latin America, and the management of the Affiliate Relationship Management function, team and associated risk and governance in Latin America.The LAM Lead is responsible for ensuring that the respective portfolios are managed in compliance with policy and risk appetite, and that risk is monitored, managed and appropriately mitigated. The LAM Lead is responsible for the regional governance framework to manage the risk.This individual report to the CB Lead for the Americas.**Major Challenges**- Understanding complex CB, MSB, TPPP & Affiliates relationships and activities.- Working across countries in a matrixed environment across GB and Wholesale.- Obtaining sufficient and regular MI and interpreting it to take informed decisions about CB, MSB, TPPP & Affiliates risk.- Detailed understanding of CB, MSB, TPPP & Affiliates risk and actions required to mitigate risk.- Understanding and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements as it pertains to the Affiliate credit book in the country.- Receiving regular access to negative news, internal due diligence reports and trigger events and acting on them at the right level to mitigate the risk incurred in service provision to CB, MSB, TPPP & Affiliates.- Maintain an up to date list of CB, MSB, TPPP & Affiliates relationships.- Thorough understanding of the CB, MSB, TPPP & Affiliates business, client base and drivers of relationship development and revenue.Requirements**Qualifications**- Comprehensive understanding of HSBC Group structures, processes and objectives.- In-depth knowledge of correspondent banking, financial crime compliance and the external regulatory/industry environment, as well as GPS services and correspondent banking.- Knowledge of LAM- Preference, though not required, Spanish language skills- Sound understanding of due diligence, risk identification and mitigation.- Understands the Global Compliance function.**Experience**- Experience in Relationship Management, together with an understanding of correspondent banking activity will be advantageous- A thorough understanding and experience in the management of Financial Crime Risk- Experience in overseeing the completion of KYC or due diligence activities and undertaking quality assurance.- Credit Risk skills in understanding financial institutions- Proven ability in working across multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural diverse work environments.- Possesses an extensive network of contacts within HSBC.**Capabilities**- Displays attention to detail at all times and demonstrates high personal standards- Well organised and demonstrates a logical approach to problem solving with an ability to prioritise effectively- Positive and proactive attitude with flexibility to accommodate changing environment and willingness to take on new responsibilities- Strong interpersonal and communication skills- Self-motivated with good academic records- Well-developed leadership skills- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
