The English Language Coordinator leads the development, implementation, and support of the English language program across nursery and preschool levels. This role includes mentoring English-speaking staff, ensuring high-quality language-rich experiences for children, collaborating on interdisciplinary projects, and engaging families in their children’s English language development.**Key Responsibilities:1. Language Curriculum Design & Implementation**- Design and adapt an immersive, age-appropriate English language curriculum aligned with the school’s educational philosophy.- Integrate English into interdisciplinary, play-based projects and daily routines.- Support teachers in planning and delivering language-rich activities that build vocabulary, comprehension, and communication skills.**2. Teacher Support & Professional Development**- Mentor and support English-speaking teachers and assistants across classrooms.- Facilitate collaborative planning sessions and provide coaching on classroom language strategies.- Lead internal workshops or identify external training opportunities to strengthen staff capacity in language instruction.**3. Language Immersion Environment**- Promote a consistent and natural English-language presence throughout the school day.- Ensure classroom materials, signage, and routines support immersive English learning.- Collaborate with the Spanish Language Coordinator to create a balanced bilingual environment.**4. Student Progress & Differentiation**- Monitor students’ English language development through observation and documentation.- Help adapt activities for students with different language backgrounds and learning needs.- Provide strategies to support dual language learners and those new to English.**5. Family Engagement & Communication**- Communicate with families about their children’s language development and how to support English learning at home.- Contribute to school communications, parent meetings, and events in English.- Assist with translation or cross-cultural understanding as needed.**Qualifications**:- Degree in Early Childhood Education, English Language Teaching, Applied Linguistics, or related field.- Minimum 3 years of classroom experience with young children (nursery/preschool), preferably in a bilingual setting.- Native or near-native English fluency required.- Knowledge of early language acquisition and immersion techniques.- Experience supporting or mentoring teachers is a plus.- Spanish proficiency is a strong asset.**Key Competencies**:- Passion for early language development- Creative and resourceful teaching approach- Strong communication and leadership skills- Culturally responsive and inclusive mindset- Collaborative and flexible in a team settingTipo de puesto: Tiempo completo, Medio tiempoSueldo: $5,312.21 - $16,309.58 al mesBeneficios:- Bebidas gratis- Días por enfermedad- Uniformes gratuitosTipo de jornada:- Lunes a viernes- Turno de 8 horasLugar de trabajo: Empleo presencial
