Hi, I’m Julia.I’m one of the Co-Founders of A Bar Above, a website and e-commerce company dedicated to the art of craft cocktails and the people who make them.We are looking for a driven, highly organized person to help our company grow This is NOT your average “Customer Service” job. Yes, we’ll need your help with some basic customer support, but most of your day will be spent on more interesting things: You’re gonna get the big orders, the weird requests, the interesting phone calls. You’ll partner with our B2B manager to build and maintain relationships with the people and customers that we care about the most- This is a great opportunity to join our small team and join in on the incredible and thriving craft cocktail community. If you love providing exceptional customer service and the growing world of craft cocktails, this is the role for you_**Before we get any further, I want to tell you about a few things you should know about our company**:- **Our Mission: “**Serve the People who Serve Great Drinks.” We care a lot about bartenders, cocktail creators, and the craft of the cocktail. This is the core of everything we do- **The 30-hour work week**: We deeply believe in work-life balance, and we mean it Our “full-time” work week is 30 hours long. Your schedule will be M-F from 9am-12pm PST, an hour or two check-in over the weekend, and the rest of your schedule is totally up to you- **We love hospitality folks**:We strive to fill our team with former bartenders and hospitality professionals If you have a background in hospitality, definitely let us know- **We are a remote team**:We have an awesome team located in Southern California, Mexico, and beyond Expect in-person meetings once or twice a year, either in Mexico and / or at our HQ in Carlsbad, California.**Still interested? Great, let’s talk more about the role****THE JOB**:This job is ⅓ customer service, ⅓ VIP customer service, and ⅓ Sales & B2B outreach.You’ll be in charge of our customer service inbox, helping to triage common customer issues and answer customer questions. Your tasks will include:- Answering questions about products- Assisting customers with returns and exchanges- Helping our customers if they have questions accessing our website- Some simple grading of exams for our Mixology CertificationOur B2B customers are super important to us - they are our VIPs Your job will be focused on creating and maintaining long-term relationships with our highest value customers and contacts.- Triaging inbound wholesale inquiries to make sure they are valid- Providing quotes, draft orders, and answer questions for our VIP customers- Ensuring our warehouse is processing B2B orders in timely manner and making sure all customer needs are met- Following up with past customers to see if they are ready to order more.**ABOUT YOU**:- A bit of Sales know-how: Yep, this role does have a bit of a “sales” component. Whether you’re negotiating a wholesale order or reaching out cold to a bar that might love our products, you’ll need to know how to find the right balance of being helpful and persuasive without being pushy.- A “People” Person: You’ve probably noticed by now - this job is all about relationships. You’re outgoing and thrive in a role where you spend your days meeting new people and reconnecting with the old.- Focused while Remote: You must have the ability to work effectively from home during your working hours.
