**About the Role**Uber Eats is revolutionizing the future of Retail by building the world's most dynamic and far-reaching marketplace for on-demand local commerce. To deliver on this vision, we need strong operational and strategic thinkers who can keep pace with rapid growth and help turn ambition into execution.As a Strategic Operations Manager for Retail in Mexico, you'll play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence by leading inventory operations and optimizing logistics and supply chain processes. At the same time, you'll leverage data and insights to shape strategy, streamline costs, and design scalable solutions.This is a hybrid role - blending hands-on operational leadership with the strategic and analytical thinking needed to help Uber Eats scale its Retail vertical. Your work will directly influence how we grow, innovate, and win in Retail.- Own and optimize inventory operations across Mexico, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and efficiency for merchants, delivery partners, and consumers.- Improve logistics and procurement processes, delivering sustainable cost efficiencies and operational reliability.- Design scalable systems and processes, enabling the business to reduce manual effort and prepare for long-term growth.- Deliver data-driven insights by owning reporting and analytics, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.- Shape strategy through execution, tackling complex problems with structured thinking and turning insights into actions that drive measurable impact.**Preferred Qualifications**:- 3+ years of professional experience in supply chain, logistics operations, consulting, strategy, or analytics.- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Excel/Google Sheets.- Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.- A balance of hands-on operational execution and strategic, big-picture thinking.- Comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.**Bonus Points**:- Familiarity with Python, R, Stata, or other advanced data tools.- Experience with procurement systems and logistics platforms (e.g., Coupa, ERP tools).- Background in marketplace, retail, or high-growth tech environments.- Structured problem-solving mindset: able to bring clarity to complexity and drive strategic decision-making.
