AbsoluteyWhat you’ll learn & achieve:- Leads the development, documentation and maintenance of environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs (e.g. hazardous materials, emergency response plans) in compliance with Federal, State and Local legislation.- Conducts inspections and investigations to identify compliance concerns, issues, or sources of incidents, nonconformances and injuries in addition to identifying root causes and corrective actions.- Analyzes, interprets and validates information on environmental, health, safety, and security data.- Creates EHS programs and instructs employees in matters pertaining, but not limited to occupational health, injury prevention, safe operation of equipment and proper handling/cleanup of chemicals and hazardous materials.- Acts as a representative responding to public inquiries, audits (internal and external), government agencies or executive inquiries.- Supports the design and development of facilities, work areas, and work procedures of the business.- Provides physical security support for field employees as needed.- Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.- Performs other duties as directed.What makes you a great fit:- University degree in physical sciences or engineering- Fluent English - Spoken and written- Ability to work independently- Communication skills- About 7-5 years of related experience**_ Plus:_**- Written and spoken PortugueseWhat you’ll experience working at UL:**Mission**: For UL, corporate and social responsibility isn’t new.
