The Direct Sales Director for Acquiring Solutions role focuses on strategically growing Global Payments Mexico customer base by acquiring new merchants (businesses) that will use our payment processing services. This includes developing and implementing acquisition strategies, leading a sales team to meet revenue goals, building relationships with key clients, analyzing market opportunities, and overseeing the daily operations of the acquiring sales team. Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement business plans and sales strategies to grow the merchant base and increase revenue. Defines the commercial development strategies to support sales in order to maximize the conversion of new sales leads into new clients and new business. New Business Development: Identify and target potential merchants, cultivate new sales leads, and close deals to sign them up as customers. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of direct sales representatives, providing coaching, setting quotas, and monitoring performance. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key merchants and decision-makers to ensure their satisfaction and drive loyalty. Engages in the negotiations with the customers to finalize the deal when required. Market Analysis: Analyze the market and assigned territory to identify opportunities, understand competitive landscapes, and develop effective go-to-market strategies. Directs campaigns to drive market penetration. Sets the target client profile and metrics to be met by the sales team for the campaign. Approves campaign budget and agent activities and reviews results to determine further investment decisions into that market. Evaluates and assesses industry trends and specific strategies being implemented by key competitors. Sales Operations: Create and manage sales schedules, provide regular updates to leadership, and oversee sales processes to ensure efficiency. Maintains accurate pipelines to ensure revenue forecasts are properly reported. Monitors revenue generation in order to secure delivery of financial objectives established in the annual budget. Secures invoicing and revenue recognition. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with other departments, including marketing, product, finance, and legal, to support sales initiatives and ensure client success. Not an exhaustive list; other duties as assigned Key Skills & Qualifications Sales Acumen: Proven ability to meet sales targets, drive growth, and understand customer needs. Leadership & Management: Experience leading and mentoring a sales team. Provides the oversight and control over all aspects of the sales process including qualification criteria and the allocation of leads and opportunities to Sales Managers, solution design guidance and approval, content of final response, approval on final customer prices and all legal and commercial negotiations. Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute long-term business and sales strategies. Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain trust with clients and internal teams. Negotiation: Expertise in negotiating business agreements and managing client contracts. Directs commercial and contractual negotiations to secure a profitable financial return on the investment and on the resources deployed into the sign up and the implementation of new clients and new business. Conducts full due diligence throughout the whole negotiation phase leading into the contract stage. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, understand market trends, and identify opportunities. Establishes territory or prospective assignments, sales targets and addressable market. Assists with design and development of sales incentive programs and administers the sales incentive plan. Develops reporting showing revenue projections and actuals for new clients to share with senior management and for budget purposes. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client presentations and internal reporting. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Relevant Experience or Degree in: related field of study from an accredited university is required Typically a minimum of 10 years related professional experience including a minimum of 5-6 years experience in a managerial position in sales. Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in a Related field of study from an accredited university. Prior Global Payments, payments or technology industry sales experience is preferred.
