Sr Volume Planning Manager

**DESCRIPTION**:The Sr Volume Planning Manager will lead end-to-end volume planning across Amazon Mexico's transportation network, encompassing Middle Mile, and Last Mile operations. This role requires orchestrating planning cycles at weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual levels while ensuring alignment across all transportation miles. The manager will develop comprehensive volume forecasts, capacity plans, and strategic initiatives to meet customer demand while optimizing for cost and service performance. Core responsibilities include managing cross-functional planning sessions with Fulfillment Centers, Sort Centers, and Delivery Stations, developing tools and processes for enhanced forecasting accuracy, and creating contingency plans for volume fluctuations. The role involves close collaboration with senior leadership to present volume strategies, capacity plans, and performance metrics, while maintaining focus on key indicators such as On-Time Delivery and Cost Per Unit. The position requires balancing short-term operational requirements with long-term strategic planning, including network design considerations and expansion plans. Success in this role demands strong analytical capabilities, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple organizational levels. The manager will also coordinate with finance teams to align volume plans with financial targets and mentor team members in planning methodologies. This role is crucial for driving Amazon Mexico's transportation network efficiency while ensuring exceptional customer experienceKey job responsibilities- Help plan capacity based on volume plans published by each mile within Supply Chain team.- Influence last mile network strategy and ensure capacity is enough to meet demand.- Build strategies that will build the right capacity plan to support upside in package demand while optimizing for cost speed and service performance.- Work cross-functionally and understand the long-term requirements of all programs that leverage each mile network.- Interact with senior-level audiences (including directors) from both internal and external teams.- Develop the E2E planning process, tools, and models along with deep insights on the first, middle and last mile network for the Mexico Supply Chain team.- Deliver high quality customer experience while minimizing cost and improving fulfillment speed.- Work with Senior Leadership from various partner teams to drive alignmentAbout the teamInclusive team cultureAt Amazon we embrace our differences and we are committed to furthering our culture of inclusion.
