The **Global Material Manager **is a key interface between regional/site teams, global supply chain and customers for all aspects of material readiness; acts as Customer Program Manager for all material related issues; responsible for reducing inventory as measured by Days of Inventory (DOI); increasing parts on supply chain programs to improve flexibility and improving on time delivery (OTD); coordinates closely with regional/site team to implement cost reduction strategies to increase Productivity.**Key Job Accountabilities**:- Identify customer information/reporting requirements and ensure consistency across regions to present a One Plexus solution to our customers- Drive to increase parts on supply chain programs across all regions in support of improved OTD, reduced lead time and DOI reduction.- Maintain the strategic intent of the role by driving material issues at the appropriate operational levels and engage in resolution to maintain OTD and customer satisfaction.- Serve as an escalation point in the management of shortages. Responsible for ensuring total Plexus supply is utilized to meet Customer demand and proper Supplier and Customer escalations have been made to solve any shortage challenge.- Serve as senior materials leadership representation at customer Executive Sponsor Reviews.**Additional Accountabilities**:- Participate in Constrained Parts Management process and serve as global point of contact with both regional Plexus teams and customer- Support the Transition Process to ensure product transitions meet customer and Plexus objectives- Support the transition process to ensure product transitions meet customer and Plexus objectives- Ensure that customer driven changes align with contractual agreement, and implement formal Exception Process as needed.
