Latin American country operations include Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru.About the role:The **Instructional Design Specialist (IDS)** will assess training needs, design, develop and maintain multi-functional and operational curricula to drive a customer-focused and experience-driven learning culture across GMF International Operations (GMF IO). This position is key to the standardization and alignment of the GMF IO vision to deliver better customer experiences by equipping employees through an integrated approach to employee on-boarding, job-skills, on-going and developmental learning experiences.What you need:- Bachelor’s degree- Preferred areas of study include: Instructional Design, Learning and Curriculum Development, Human Resources Development, Technical Writing, English, Graphic Design, or similar- Bilingual (English and Spanish/English and Portuguese) Trilingual is a plus- eLearning content development: 3 years- Facilitator-led content development: 2 years- Experience with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word and PowerPoint)- Experience following the ADDIE or Agile model, instructional design processes, and adult learning principles, specifically:- Design and development of educational solutions:- Conduct Training Needs Analysis- Instructor-led workshops- Virtual Instructor-led workshops- eLearning (experience using Articulate 360)- Self-study guides- Job aids- Assessments (Kirkpatrick levels 1-4)- Experience in the financial services industry and operational-related positions- Experience with customer service excellence initiatives- Experience working with multi-functional and/or multicultural teams- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills- Excellent visual design skills- Excellent organizational skills- Ability to create and maintain work relationships- Demonstrate interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with project teams and stakeholders- Demonstrate interpersonal skills to effectively manage project feedback- Strong analytic and problem-solving skill set- Strong project management skill setWhat you will be doing:- Utilize instructional design and adult-learning methodologies to create and propose framework and educational solutions for approved projects. Design appropriate educational solutions in a variety of delivery methods including eLearning, virtual or classroom Instructor-led workshops, self-study guides, job aids, instructional games, and podcasts.- Partner with Project Manager to ensure all stakeholders are aware of their roles, responsibilities, project milestones, and deadlines.- Establish and prioritize program design schedules utilizing design efficiency standards metrics to design educational solutions in an effective and timely manner.- Establish and execute a review and update of educational solutions on an annual cycle or as appropriate based on changing content, systems, and standards.- Ensure that there is successful integration of a Think Customer into all core curricula, programs, and educational solutions.- Ensure appropriate training evaluation measures are employed in each educational solution (up to and including business impact and return on investment).- Evaluate the effectiveness of training activities in relation to learning objectives.- Collaborate with the Delivery team to ensure they can successfully facilitate content and to integrate facilitation-based feedback.- Ensure the content is written using inclusive language that is understood in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.- Partner with LMS Specialist to package and deliver educational solutions through the Learning Management System- Maintain strict confidentiality of all information.- Periodic travel may be required up to 20%.What we offer:At GM Financial we want you to be the most authentic version of yourself.
