The Marketing Director will develop, manage, and execute the strategic direction of the brand. Ensure structured alignment to the brand’s global marketing standards, objectives, strategies, and philosophies. Responsible for creating, planning, managing, and executing all marketing events and programs articulated in the local annual marketing plan within clearly specified budgets. Integrate key brand platforms into key sales initiatives to leverage and build brand awareness for Monster Energy through diligent trade marketing and integrated digital leverage platforms.
Essential Job Functions:
- Work with distributors and headquarters to develop cost-effective promotional platforms to drive trade-wide executional scale, product trial, brand awareness, and sales volumes.
- Negotiate and execute events and sponsorships at all levels based on relevance to key marketing platforms and marketing budget versus clear Return on Investment (ROI) analysis.
- Drive PR and digital leverage platforms to ensure all event or athlete spend are maximized through reaching our core target consumers to recruit new drinkers and maintain brand loyalty.
- Grow social media fans on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter through various activities or promotions in consultation with our global digital experts.
- Ensure all branding and logo use is acceptable at events and activations and is approved by marketing leadership according to branding guidelines.
- Manage the sampling program, including direct management of MAT team leaders in relevant territories. Carry out large scale, event-based product sampling operations.
- Accountable for the marketing budget based on the annual plan set in conjunction with leadership.
- Activate and leverage global, national, and regional events and properties that fit within the established local market business plan and leverage local media merchandising opportunities.
- Entrench yourself and MEC Brands in the local sports and culture scenes relevant to key targeted consumers and brands/SKUs. Develop and maintain relationships with opinion leaders in your market for key image-building scenes in sports and culture. With a local network of opinion leaders, develop new ideas that bring the brand to life through local image-building scenes. Develop close and collaborative internal relationships with key stakeholders locally and at HQ. Ensure relationships remain professional to ensure rational decision-making based on clear ROI.
Essential Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in the field of Business, Marketing, or related field of study. Master's degree is desired.
- 10 or more years of experience in a marketing management role.
- 10 or more years of experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, agency, or brand.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Fluent in English.
