Director, Gdl Shared Services Center

Location: Guadalajara SSC, Mexico (not remote)Reports to: Sr. Director, Global Shared ServicesThe Director, Guadalajara Shared Services Center will provide leadership and oversight of the Finance Shared Services organization for Americas geographic region. This includes management of a team responsible for delivering efficient and cost-effective transaction processing services in alignment with established quality standards and performance metrics as well as providing strategic support and analysis. Within scope are areas such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit, General Accounting, Treasury, Financial Planning and Analysis, Procurement, Administrative Support and Customer Services. In addition, the Director will serve as a driver of transformation and change with a strong focus on continuous improvement and exceptional client service in order to ensure the success of this support model.Core Responsibilities:- Provide operational and strategic leadership of the SSC while supporting corporate business objectives and managing to budget requirements.- Establish and manage productivity and performance SLAs, KPIs, OLAs and dashboard reports for the Shared Service Center; ensure metrics are captured and reported to senior management. Benchmark against best-in-class to drive competitive performance.- Work directly with leadership and internal customers to define expected outcomes, identify issues, and resolve through corrective action.- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all SOX and internal Accounting policies and procedures required to produce complete and accurate financial results impacted by work teams.- Analyze business processes, identify opportunities, and drive projects to further improve department processes and systems, with a specific focus on quality, efficiency, responsiveness, cost containment, and standardization of work.- Articulate the vision of Finance Shared Service and ensure that the team understands and embraces their ability to impact the delivery of our strategy.- Develop, strengthen and cultivate key relationships with SSC stakeholders- Develop and manage against appropriate stretch goals for Managers and Teams in order to meet department and business needs.- Create an atmosphere for employees to be engaged and thrive in their careers- Establish the GDL SSC as a preferred place to work- At least 10 years of significant, progressive responsibilities within related functional areas (Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Record to Report, Financial Planning & Analysis), managing teams in a large multi-national or professional services organization with high budget and Headcount.- Direct previous experience managing a Shared Services Center is required.- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.- Advanced English level.- Strong commercial acumen and customer service focus with ability to understand how the business operates and the upstream and downstream activities that impact and are impacted by Shared Services.- Experience in developing and leading project teams focused on process alignment and improvement as well as transitioning work to global centers.- Experience in creating and interpreting metrics representing department performance, benchmarking goals, and comparative outcomes.- Ability to transform strategic goals into tactical project plans, including ability to track within defined timelines.- Career history demonstrating steady progression within business and finance and successful delivery of stretch projects/assignments as evidence of superior performance in previous roles. _Potential and desire to progress into Finance positions of increasing responsibility and complexity over time after successfully delivering in this role._- Project Management: Leads multiple multi-faceted projects and monitors execution.
