That is why we combine data, code, and creativity to develop cutting-edge tools that solve real-world energy challenges.**Job purpose**:Forecasting electricity prices using large-scale datasets & optimization models.**Duties and responsibilities**:Mathematical & Statistical Modeling**:- Develop mathematical optimization models used to forecast electricity prices, power demand, and market trends.**Data Engineering & Pipeline Development**:- Build and manage data pipelines that clean, standardize, and integrate diverse datasets (fuel prices, renewable generation, grid data, and demand forecasts).- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and real-time availability for decision-making.**Performance Monitoring & Model Improvement**:- Compare model predictions against actual market outcomes, identify discrepancies, and refine algorithms.- Continuously enhance forecasting accuracy and trading strategies based on data-driven insights.**Requirements**:BSc or MS in Physics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science. PhD is a plus.Skilled in Python/SQL; GAMS/Pyomo/Gurobi a plus.Strong analytical skills; solves complex energy problems with data, models, and independent thinkingEnergy market knowledge a plus; US/Mexico wholesale market experience is a strong advantage.**Job conditions**:Benefits**:- Health Insurance for the employee (Seguro de Gastos Médicos Mayores)- Work Laptop- Team building activities outside the office- Additional compensation for meeting performance targets
