The Role:

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead the building of the emotional positioning of the brand, increase top of mind, and ensure a strong consistency of the brand across all touchpoints
  • Develop and implement the brand tone of voice to ensure consistent brand application across all digital and physical assets and campaigns. This means working closely with Product and Design teams to ensure the brand is reflected in our digital products and user experience.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, content, design, and brand, to ensure messaging consistency across all marketing channels.
  • Continue the brand tracking program to measure the effectiveness of our branding efforts and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and manage the company's content strategy, including content development, distribution, and measurement.
  • Develop and execute offline acquisition campaigns, including events and sponsorships.
  • Supervise the company's public relations strategy, including media relations, thought leadership, and crisis communication.
  • Manage crisis communication and issues management as needed.
  • Supervise the creation of high-quality, educational, and engaging written, podcast, and video content that positions our brand as the authority in financial education in Mexico.
  • Manage a content calendar to ensure timely delivery of all content and the efficient use of resources.
  • Continuously analyze and measure the effectiveness of content efforts and use data to inform content strategy and optimization.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices and apply this knowledge to content development.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the marketing strategy and supports business goals.
  • Approve engaging and relevant social media content across all platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube, to increase customer engagement and acquisition.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to track and analyze social media metrics and provide regular reporting on campaign performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to continually improve the company's brand, content, and public relations programs.
  • Led and managed a team of brand professionals, ensuring that they were motivated, engaged, and delivering high-quality work.
  • Develop the employer branding messaging and implement it in critical touch points like LinkedIn. 

Hard Skills: 

  • Desirable experience as VP, Chief, or Director of Marketing and Branding in the Startup sector.
    Proven track record of developing and executing successful brand, content, and social media strategies with limited resources and in a short time. 
  • Super strong skills in storytelling (go from brand strategy such as target customer, value prop, and brand positioning to simple yet compelling brand expression via copywriting or visuals that is easily understood by and embraced emotionally by the target audience
  • Track record hiring and developing copywriters and visual designers with good eye and good taste.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong ability to develop and execute brand strategies that drive business results
  • Experience in developing and executing strategic and creative plans that support the company's growth and benefit the customer.
  • Strong knowledge of a range of online and offline media platforms.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Critical thinking - ability to think analytically and develop solutions that meet the business needs.
  • Ability to influence multiple teams and stakeholders in the company who interface with customers (e.g., product designers, CRM, customer service, SoMe, …) to enforce brand consistency with superior brand expression effectively
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in both English and Spanish, with the ability to create high-quality, educational, and engaging content.
