The Front Desk Agent is responsible for check-in and check-out, PBX operations, mail and message service, while providing exceptional service to our guests during their stay.

You must act as a representative of the hotel, be a creator of incredibly personal experiences, and develop relationships with guests that encourage them to return.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review arrivals making note of special requests, blocking rooms as necessary. Check in and check out hotel guests safely, professionally and courteously. Respond to all telephone calls promptly and knowledgeably, always ensuring information is complete and accurate. Complete all items on the appropriate checklist (AM, PM, Night) by the end of the shift. Carry out pre-assignment of hotel rooms, including VIPS, regular guests, all packages and any special requests. Follow the established key control policy. Deliver all lost items accompanied by a properly completed lost property report. Become familiar with all fire and emergency procedures.

Open, maintain, and balance the bank on duty daily, which involves counting and verifying cash, checks, and credit card transactions that occur during service.

Check credit limit report. Control room availability throughout the day. Review hotel sales status daily using the performance management system. Attend department meetings once a month.

Able to communicate by phone and/or radio with other departments:
Reservations, Sales, Housekeeping, Bell Staff and Valet. Ensure proper credit policies are followed.
