This role involves handling tax compliance, electronic invoicing, and account reconciliations in the LATAM region.
Responsibilities- Assist with direct, indirect, and digital service taxation compliance in LATAM countries.
- Perform month-end and quarter-end activities like journal entries and tax account reconciliations.
- Prepare reports, manage filing deadlines, and ensure timely tax payments.
- Control electronic invoicing processes and validate invoices in our ERP.
- Monitor tax mailboxes, investigate discrepancies, and manage routine requests.
- File VAT refund requests and contribute to automation projects for process improvement.
- Offer support during tax audits.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 3+ years of Mexican tax compliance experience; knowledge of other LATAM countries is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to foster positive relationships.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, ERP systems, and tax portal systems.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
