Job Description

Joining our Industrial Print AMS Sales Operations Team, the Order Management Subject Matter Expert (OM SME) leverages in-depth subject knowledge to address common and complex business issues within established parameters and recommends suitable alternatives. This role focuses on promoting operational excellence, enhancing system efficiencies, and facilitating effective communication across teams to foster synergies, collaboration, and alignment. The OM SME deals with Order to Cash issues pertaining to Industrial Print businesses beyond Indigo; specifically Page Wide Press, as well as some Latex and Scitex. Acting as the primary point of contact for customers and internal teams regarding order and invoicing concerns, this role covers various operational aspects related to the Opportunity to Cash business.

We are seeking a team player with a strong commitment to task completion and goal achievement, possessing a profound understanding of change management and the ability to work dynamically to deliver prompt results. The OM SME may lead a team or project, providing guidance on team activities and facilitating information validation and decision-making processes. This position involves exercising independent judgment within established policies and practices to identify solutions, contribute to driving the operational strategy for assigned customers/partners, and potentially take part in critical contractual negotiations to support Sales Accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a list of supplies customers for Page Wide and other Large Format customers to address and route basic to complex issues, offering guidance while closely collaborating with third-party suppliers.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for internal/external escalations, coordinating support on a wide range of daily operational matters.
  • Resolve significant operational issues with a high impact (e.g., issues related to global trade and compliance policies, high dollar-value exposure).
  • Collaborate with or lead various functions and organizations to resolve issues (e.g., sales teams, supply chain, logistics) related to customer ordering and invoice delivery support.
  • Conduct operational performance reviews, as necessary, with internal account management and strategic customers, and contribute to improvement initiatives.
  • Specialize in a particular topic (e.g., order management, special pricing) and provide training to others as needed.
  • Lead efforts to enhance current processes, often collaborating with other HP groups to optimize day-to-day operations.
  • Represent the team as a Subject Matter Expert on intricate internal processes to different functions and organizations.

Education and Experience Required

  • Minimum of a first-level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree may be preferred.
  • 2-6 years of relevant experience typically required, preferably in sales operations, customer experience, finance, contract management, or similar fields.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey impactful messages clearly (verbal, written, and in presentations) to peers and management within and outside HP. Proficiency in English and local languages is essential.
  • Advanced understanding of highly complex internal operational issues and opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the end-to-end sales operations process.
  • Solid understanding of local legal compliance matters.
  • Advanced teamwork and collaboration abilities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management.
  • Capacity to organize and apply advanced skills to manage daily operational challenges effectively.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools and experienced in report creation.
  • Preferred familiarity with HP systems like S4 (ordering features), OSS, Eclipse/PriceHub, HP2B Portal, and Catalog.
