Tax Specialist

Requisition ID: 31432- Job Location(s): Apodaca, MXDanfoss is seeking an energetic and engaged Tax Specialist to join our diverse team. The Analyst will be primarily responsible for coordinating Income Tax Compliance. Important skills for this position include ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment and to collaborate proactively with finance and business colleagues across our global organization.
**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Research and analysis of income tax questions, including identification of issues, assisting in the development of strategies and coordinating the implementation of solutions.
- Providing guidance and support to Danfoss finance and business colleagues regarding key tax issues, including risks, benefits, and financial impact to the company, as well as ensuring that all tax matters are properly reflected in our accounting and financial reporting systems.
- Working proactively with business leaders to understand operational objectives, and to ensure that tax needs are identified, considered and properly communicated.
- Coordinating and completing value-added tax projects and assisting the Tax Manager and Tax Director with other responsibilities as requested.
**Background & Skills**:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or another relevant field is required.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in Public Accounting and/or Industry.
- **Manufacturing experience is a must**:
- Experience with Thomson-Reuters OneSource Income Tax software, BNA/Bloomberg Fixed Asset Software, SAP, HFM, CCH and MS Office software is desirable.
- Very good organizational skills and tax technical knowledge.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work with all levels of the organization, individually, in groups and across cultures.
