**Lead HSE Specialist - Health, Safety and Environment**

As a Lead HSE Specialist, you will be responsible for:

- Driving HSE performance metrics and risk mitigation improvements across site.
- Supporting all aspects of health, safety and environmental programs to maintain full compliance with applicable laws and regulations as well as internal and external business requirements.
- Assisting in the implementation, review and improving the HSE Management System, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 systems.
- Facilitating or lead incident investigations as well as the development of corrective and preventative actions.
- Conducting regular HSE inspections to detect existing or potential hazards, determine and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Delivering HSE training in line with legal, business and company requirements.
- Facilitating HSE committees and meetings.
- Supporting company crisis management, emergency response team and business continuity plans in various activities.
- Supporting the internal audit program on HSE management systems
- Overseeing employee health programs including industrial hygiene, ergonomics, wellbeing and hearing protection
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all HSE requirements through monitoring and audit of the contractors.
- Driving an interdependent safety culture where employees look after each other and are responsible for health, safety, and environmental practices and conditions.
- Any other duties as assigned by corporate or product line HSE team.

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in health and safety, environmental science, chemistry, engineering or another relevant field.
- Have a Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in Health and Safety, preferred in the Oil & Gas / manufacturing industry.
- Be a r registered HSE professional.
- Be a certified ISO 45001 / 14001 Lead auditor.
- Be familiar with all HSE regulatory requirements within Mexico.
- Fluent Spanish and excellent English speaking and writing.
