Customer Service Specialist

**Description**:
Responsible for performing various customer service functions for an assigned BU, to provide assistance to customers by telephone or direct contact. Assists in other customer accounting functions as needed.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Stays up to date on current and former product offerings.
- Understands the appropriate customs paperwork and the related timing.
- Provide customer feedback on the status of purchase orders and shipment details.
- Investigates and resolves customer issues.
- Provides input on other reports.
- Maintains records related to order processing.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
**Skills, Knowledge and Expertise**:
- Effectively communicates information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, the general public, and other employees of the organization.
- Embraces cultural differences and demonstrates patience in overcoming language barriers and challenges that may arise due to the variety of work standards and expectations represented around the globe.
- Highly organized to control multiple shipments at one time.
- Deals with problems involving several known variables in situations of routine nature.
