Job Description: Regional Distribution Director

The Regional Distribution Director plays a pivotal role in supervising the planning, development, and execution of distribution and sales strategies for Universal Pictures' films in Latin America. Reporting to the Regional Distribution and Marketing SVP, this leader works closely with the LATAM Regional and Head Office teams to support 13 country offices in achieving their goals and growing their businesses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the theatrical film distribution strategy in 13 Latin American offices, encompassing 30+ countries, in collaboration with managing directors of each territory.
  • Assess upcoming films' commercial potential through thorough use of business intelligence data, both regionally and at the territory level.
  • Negotiate sales terms and conditions with relevant parties.
  • Lead market analytics to ensure timely decision-making.
  • Analyze and report weekly regional results, competition, and market behavior.
  • Develop in-depth analyses of regional markets, including annual performance, box office projections, consumption trends, and upcoming slate.

Requirements:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Administration, Economy, Mathematics, or Actuarial Sciences.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a management position.
  • Experience in Theatrical Film Distribution (desired).
  • Advanced Excel skills, including macros.
  • Database management expertise.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in English (both written and oral) and Portuguese (desired).
  • Data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Availability to travel and work on weekends.

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
