Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Unit Coordinator to join our team at Jabil Circuit. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in translating business strategy into work programs and processes for assigned customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing business strategies to drive customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
  • Provide guidance and support to lower-level positions while gaining extensive knowledge and skills to manage customer relationships.
  • Work independently on complex assignments that require originality and ingenuity, with minimal supervision or review.
  • Provide comprehensive solutions to complex problems and results are evaluated at agreed-upon milestones for effectiveness.
  • Extensive contact with internal and external customers is required to obtain, clarify, or provide facts and information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Train and gather knowledge and experience to qualify for future Business Unit Manager opportunities within 2-3 years, depending on business need.
  • Manage a piece of the customer relationship through direct interaction with customers.
  • Prepare materials for Request for Proposal (RFP) responses.
  • Prepare commercial claims, such as excess and obsolete materials.
  • Contribute to the forecast and variance process in our financial system.
  • Assist Business Unit Managers in day-to-day business needs and workcell management.
  • Support Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide indirect leadership to more junior positions on the team.

Job Qualifications:

  • Displays potential for developing leadership skills with the ability to move into a higher-level role, i.e., Business Unit Manager.
  • Solid project management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry.
  • Strong proficiency in determining logistics requirements to enable company business goals and objectives.
  • Strong financial and analytical ability, with proficiency in managing business analytics to determine optimum company footprint.
  • Strong knowledge of international direct and indirect taxes, as well as global customs regimes.
  • Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and managing continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
  • Strong and convincing communication skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and e-mail skills required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, with a degree in Engineering, Finance/Accounting, or Business Management preferred.
  • One to three years of work-related experience required, preferably in Financial or Manufacturing Operations fields.
  • Willingness to begin study in an MBA or equivalent degree program within two to three years preferred.
  • Or a combination of education, experience, and/or training.
