Vendor Relations Manager

About the Role
This position is centered on establishing and nurturing business partnerships with designated vendors at Westcon Mexico, S.A. de C.V. to optimize financial outcomes, specifically with FORTINET.
Key Responsibilities
Oversees the vendor business strategy and execution across the Westcon organization, utilizing vendor capabilities and resources effectively. Articulates supplier strategies and advantages to the Westcon teams. Manages proposals for additional funding at the vendor level. Aligns vendor objectives with Westcon's goals to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes. Evaluates, tracks, and recommends strategic and tactical plans for the vendor (Fortinet) and Westcon's partnership. Develops and implements business growth strategies to enhance market presence. Facilitates cross-departmental communication with Westcon's product teams regarding pricing negotiations and market insights. Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) on the vendor's technologies and programs. Directs initiatives and programs aimed at improving the vendor's pro-forma performance to meet Westcon's financial targets. Conducts analyses and generates reports on various program impacts for the vendor. Oversees forecasting of pipeline needs and rebate estimations.Qualifications and Experience:
One (1) to three (3) years of relevant experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience that provides comparable knowledge and skills. Experience with Fortinet technology is preferred. Strong understanding of security solutions and services, particularly those related to Fortinet.Job Level Specifications:
Proficient in all job functions with a general understanding of industry practices, techniques, and standards. Capable of developing solutions for various challenges and working on projects that require assessment and analysis. May reference policies and practices for guidance but determines the best course of action to achieve desired results. Work is performed independently, requiring sound judgment and discretion. May receive limited guidance for new tasks; work may be reviewed for overall adequacy. Engages with management and professionals within the department and across the organization.
