About the Role:
Servicios Comerciales Amazon Mexico S. de R.L. de C.V. is seeking a Senior Manager to lead our Direct Fulfillment (DF) strategy for Mexico and Canada. This role will be responsible for planning and executing the country-level strategy for NA Direct Fulfillment's marketplace in Mexico and Canada, determining vendor and carrier selection, and leading the launch and expansion of this new marketplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with partners in Mexico and Canada to onboard vendors for DF, develop a carrier strategy to align capacity with demand, and ensure origin location, size, special handling requirements, and speed expectations are met.
- Influence the vision and lead the operational plan (OP2) for Mexico and Canada, owning goals for DF expansion in the country, transportation execution, and providing visibility to key metrics through regular business reviews with internal stakeholders and leaders.
- Work with Direct Fulfillment colleagues in Business Development, Account Management, Product, and Tech to build processes and tools that enable scalable and flexible operations and drive growth towards program goals.
- Measure the quality of services (Delivery Experience, Speed, Profitability, Volume) and develop mechanisms to provide visibility to performance and hold partners accountable.
A Day in the Life:
The successful leader in this role will demonstrate the ability to leverage existing products and services while exploring new offerings and business models. You will engage senior Operations and Retail leaders around a forward-looking strategic aspiration, hold the tension between innovation and core business demands, and embrace the ambiguity of multiple agendas in driving expansion, delivery experience, customer experience, cost, and sourcing strategy.
About the Team:
The Amazon SCOT organization is expanding our Direct Fulfillment team, which enables broad in-stock selection for Amazon's customers at the quality and speed of delivery they expect. Through Direct Fulfillment (a.k.a dropship), our team makes it possible for customers to receive their orders directly from our vendor's warehouse.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA
- 9+ years of supply chain experience
- Proven experience in e-commerce supply chain and working in a fast-paced dynamic environment
