Position Overview

The Strategic Accounts Manager plays a crucial role in driving business growth and maintaining strong relationships with key national clients. The individual in this position is expected to excel in various responsibilities to ensure the success of our national account strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and target potential accounts that align with our national account profile.
  • Formulate and implement strategies that allow Stryten Energy to engage national customers through a cohesive sales and service approach.
  • Act as the primary liaison for field operations, conducting personal sales visits, addressing concerns, and sharing vital information regarding assigned national accounts.
  • Ensure comprehensive account coverage through collaboration with OEM and Regional Managers, as well as internal support teams.
  • Oversee adherence to pricing and procedural guidelines for National Accounts, serving as the main coordinator for these accounts.
  • Customize products and services to meet the specific needs of national accounts.
  • Assist in managing working capital, including overdue accounts receivable.
  • Maintain an acceptable sales-to-expense ratio.
  • Monitor and report on sales activities for assigned accounts.
  • Contribute to the development of national sales tools.
  • Complete projects and reports promptly.
  • Engage in additional tasks as directed by leadership, which may include representing Stryten at industry events, training new national account managers, and presenting at sales meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in Major Accounts Selling.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient sales management capabilities.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Internet applications.
  • Ability to develop talent and motivate team members in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven track record of leadership, influencing decisions, and achieving positive outcomes.
  • High energy, initiative, and results-driven mindset are required.
  • Demonstrated success in territory sales or key account management.
  • Strong business acumen with the analytical skills to navigate complex sales processes.
  • Experience with CRM tools for managing opportunities and tracking project outcomes.
  • Collaborative approach with the National Account team to execute strategies and programs effectively.
  • Strategic selling and negotiation skills, along with a commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Integrity, teamwork, and a strong desire to exceed expectations are paramount.

Travel Requirements

  • This position requires an estimated 65% to 75% overnight travel.
